  • Volunteer Position: iLRN Publications Coordinator
     
    Location: Remote

    Commitment: (flexible/varied) Minimum 10 hours/week, Meetings once per week

    About iLRN:
    iLRN is a dynamic non-profit organization serving the immersive learning professional community through innovative programming, networking opportunities, and events. We are expanding our reach with a series of webinars and need dedicated volunteers to make this possible.

    Position Overview:
    The iLRN Publications Coordinator is responsible for curating and rendering iLRN publications discoverable to the iLRN community.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Publish individual details of each paper published by iLRN (Special Issues, Conference Proceedings) in our Digital Library repository (Open Journal System - OJS).
    • Create individual papers DOIs to submit to Crossref to improve repository items discoverability outside iLRN.
    • Analize monthly Crossref reports and OJS analytics to track repository items discoverability improvements.
    • Use AI summarization tools to tag Digital Library repository items to improve the Knowledge Tree (KT) ecosystem. This includes working with the iLRN KT coordinator to validate the tags suggested by the AI summarisation tool with iLRN Houses.
    • Interact with the Publications team (VP and Conference publications team) on your tasks via regular meetings.
    • Report activities and document the process you develop to do your work and share this with your supervisor.
    • Collaborating with the KT Board on scholarly works on the improvement of data mining, qualitative research, interface usability and ontology development.
