    9th June, 2024Pre-Conference Tours

    • Glasgow School of Art:
      Meeting at 10:00 am. Everyone registered for the conference can join.
      Immerse in Scotland and put you in good company with fellow immersive learning professionals in preparation for the conference! Join us in the morning for a tour of student exhibitions at The Glasgow School of Art.

    • Immersive Glasgow Art Crawl tour:
      Start at 2:00 pm. Registration in CVENT for Immersive Glasgow Art Crawl tour required to attend. 
      Tour of downtown Glasgow’s murals and the art of this quintessentially Scottish city.
       Registrants are eligible to win a pair of Meta Rayban sunglasses in exchange for sharing your stories of the iLRN2024 conference throughout the week!

      If you attend the Glasgow School of Art exhibition beforehand, a volunteer will guide you to the location of the tour start [Google Maps link of route]. Groups will be going to have lunch together before the tour and the day will be completed in a local pub for a pint or a wee bit of whiskey and fellowship.

       

    10th June, 2024Opening Day of iLRN2024 at The University of Glasgow's Sir Charles Wilson lecture theatre

    • Conference sessions:
      Registration desk opens from 8:30 am, welcome session starting at 9:00 am.
      Scotland! The University of Glasgow hosts our 10th iLRN Conference with a full day of keynotes, featured talks, panels, symposia and presentations at Sir Charles Wilson lecture theatre
      Lunch catering will be provided at the building.

    • Civic Reception:
      Start at 6:30 pm. E
      veryone registered for the conference can join.
      Don't miss our Civic Reception at the Glasgow City Chambers with a special welcome by the city's mayor and invocation of our iLRN Circle of Scholars!

    • Gala Dinner:
      Start at 7:30 pm. R
      egistration for the Dinner in CVENT required to attend. 
      Very special iLRN2024 Gala Dinner in Glasgow City Chambers to follow the Civic reception with traditional Scottish fare (dietary options available), dancing, singing, poetry, and, of course, bagpipes!

    11th June, 2024: Second day of iLRN2024 in Anstruther and at the University of St Andrews

    • Bus trip to Anstruther:
      Bus to Anstruther, Scotland. Meet up between 7:00 and 7:15 am, as the bus is leaving at 7:30 am from George Square, Glasgow. Meet up at the Statue of James Oswald on the Square [Google Maps link] - busses are leaving at 7:30 am, so be on time.
      (Free) registration in CVENT required to use the bus.
       
    • Conference sessions:
      Starting with a keynote from 10:00 am and continuing with parallel conference presentations related to this year's Special Track on Immersive Learning and Sustainability in the Climate Crisis

    • Lunch in Anstruther:
      From 12:00 to 1:30 pm, attendees have time to get lunch in Anstruther. The extended lunch break leaves time to explore the area and the many restaurant options, including award-winning fish and chips restaurants.

      Continuing at 1:30 pm with parallel conference presentations related to this year's Special Track on Immersive Learning and Sustainability in the Climate Crisis.

    • Bus trip to University of St Andrews:
      Trip to University of St Andrews, Scotland, starting at 2:30 pm from Dreel Halls in Anstruther.

       
    • Immersive activities at St Andrews:
      After arriving at University of St Andrews at around 3:00 pm, different immersive activities will be available:
      1) Guide through town
      2) Beach Walk
      3) Museum tour
      4) Traditional Scottish Hostelery

       
    • Bus trip back from University of St Andrews:
      At around 5:00 / 6:00 pm, the first bus will go back from St Andrews. If demand is high enough of attendees staying in St Andrews a little longer, a second bus will go back later that the evening.

       

    12th June, 2024: Third day of iLRN2024 at The University of Glasgow's ARC Building

    • Conference sessions:
      Starting with a keynote at 9:00 am at the University of Glasgow's ARC Lab with parallel presentation sessions, poster sessions, exhibitions, tutorials & workshops! Learn from fellow experts in immersive learning and explore offerings from iLRN vendors and hands-on exhibitions. Lunch catering will be provided at the building.

    • Awards celebrations:
      From 7:00 pm at the University Union Debates Chamber. Everyone registered for the conference can join.
      The evening's Awards Ceremony will present our 10th annual awards for best contributions to iLRN, followed by a toast and celebration. Join the legendary iLRN awards presentation celebrations, highlighting best paper awards, best student paper awards, iLEAD contribution awards, organizing committee acknowledgements, and many more!

    13th June, 2024: Final day of iLRN2024 at The University of Glasgow's ARC Building
