How can learning technologies help solve challenges in adult literacy? Join us on September 13, 2024 at 8 am Pacific, 11 am Eastern, and 3 pm GMT for our first webinar of the 2024-25 academic year!

Reeves and Reeves (2015) highlight a crucial issue in educational technology: the focus has been too much on devices and software rather than on solving learning problems. They advocate for “socially responsible” research that addresses global educational issues. One such issue is adult literacy, a problem that educational technology can significantly impact.

In our upcoming session, Dr. Stephanie Moore will discuss the critical need to address adult literacy, exploring both the learning and research gaps. She will delve into effective strategies and design features from existing research and brainstorm on how we, as a community of educators, can make a difference.
